State Trooper Killed in Motorcycle Accident

Tim­o­thy Wayne Suggs, a res­i­dent of Head­land, passed away on Fri­day, De­cem­ber 1, 2017. 

Tim was born on No­vem­ber 30, 1968 in Dothan and resided in Webb the early years of his life.  He was a 1986 grad­u­ate of Ash­ford High School and at­tended Wal­lace Com­mu­nity Col­lege where he grad­u­ated in 1989 with a de­gree in Auto Body re­pair. He be­gan his ca­reer in law en­force­ment in 1991 with the Hous­ton County Sher­if­f’s De­part­ment Re­serve. Tim at­tended the Po­lice Acad­emy in 1993 and fol­low­ing grad­u­a­tion be­gan serv­ing with the Head­land Po­lice De­part­ment. He later served with the Henry County Sher­if­f’s De­part­ment and the Dothan Po­lice De­part­ment. Cur­rently he was em­ployed as a State Trooper with the Al­abama Law En­force­ment Agency. Tim was a mem­ber of the First Bap­tist Church of Head­land. He was a past mem­ber of both the Blue Knights and the Hous­ton County Re­serve Res­cue and Dive Team. Tim was an avid mo­tor­cy­cle rider, loved Jeeps, and en­joyed play­ing pool.
